Take exit 10S (Route 32 and Route 9W). At end of ramp, turn right and merge onto Route 32. Quickly get into middle lane which will turn RIGHT. At the 9W intersection and traffic light, turn right onto Route 9W south. You will now be in the left lane.

In about 100 feet is another traffic light, which to the left is the entrance to the Newburgh Beacon Bridge. DON'T turn left. Stay in this lane through the traffic light, then quickly shift one lane to the left.

Follow directions below for "Via North Plank Road (South)". (An alternate route is to just follow Route 9W South to Cornwall's Route 218.)

Take the Palisades Parkway North until it ends at the Bear Mountain Circle (which is about a hundred feet short of the Bear Mountain Bridge).

At the circle, take the third exit for 9W North (DON'T take the second exit for the Bridge).

Now follow the directions below for "Via Route 9W (North Bound)".

Route 218 in Cornwall is 12.7 miles north of the Bear Mountain Bridge. Follow 9W North until you get to Cornwall. At Cornwall there are several exits. After you pass Cornwall Hospital on the right, turn right at the Route 218 (Academy Avenue) exit. At end of the ramp take a left onto Route 218 (Academy Avenue)

Take the second right onto Main Street.

After a very short distance the school is on the right. Turn right into Cornwall Central Middle School.

This road has many names and you will be on it for 4.1 miles. The names are North Plank Road, North Street, Leroy Place, Water Street, South Water Street, and River Road. The first five are also called Marine Drive. For much of this distance the Hudson River can be seen on the left. (When the road becomes Water Street and the railroad tracks are seen on the left all most any left hand turn will take you to one of many excellent restaurants. The restaurants are right on the river. There are also nice walk ways along the river.)

Continue on the main road until you cross over Route 9W. This road bends to the left, stay on this road and then merge onto Route 9W South.

Take 9W South for about a mile.

Turn right onto Route 218 (Academy Avenue) Follow this road and take the second right onto Main Street.

After a very short distance the school is on the right. Turn right into Cornwall Central Middle School.
