• It is with great excitement that I write you this letter of introduction as the new principal of Cornwall Central High School. It is truly an honor to serve a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic growth.

First, I'd like to share some background about my professional journey. I attended SUNY Oneonta, where I earned a Bachelors of Science in Literature. I went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Mount Saint Mary College. The first two years of my career were spent teaching English at Monsignor Scanlan High School in the Bronx. In 2004, I began my journey as an educator at Cornwall Central High School. In 2010 l enrolled in SUNY Stony Brook to pursue an administrative certificate. This school year will mark my 20th year at CCHS, where I have served as an English teacher, yearbook advisor and, for the past seven years, assistant principal. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in all of these positions at CCHS, and have learned so much about myself and the community in these capacities. These experiences will allow me to provide authentic and meaningful administration to the CCHS community!

I wholeheartedly believe that establishing a collaborative learning environment with high expectations builds positive relationships that support academic and social growth for our students. I know I speak for all faculty and support staff when I say that we are all excited to have our students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling both with their amazing energy and enthusiasm.

I am so glad to enter into the 2023-2024 school year with such a wonderful community, and I know that together, we will guide students to achieve the excellence that has always been the hallmark of a Cornwall Central School District education. Best wishes to all for a relaxing and fulfilling rest of your summer!
